All these years spent working alongside Olivier Corchia have
taught me to appreciate every nuance of his work and personality,
like the blending of colours from a palette, each day creating
new shades, subtle, surprising, indefinable…
Involved, funny and kind, Olivier will choose soothing sorrow
with words’magic over fame. Constantly moving and seeking
new knowledge, he has been evolving and growing for the longest
time within the world of NLP, which now recognizes him as
one of its “new knowledge developers”.
Portrait, by his collaborator, of a nonconformist
humanist…
CC : Olivier, if you don’t mind,
I would like you to first talk about your education and areas
of expertise?
OC : I have worked for over 14 years on
Project Development in the fields of performance and coaching,
as well as sales and management, in companies and with clients.
I formalized my practice by acquiring a D.E.S.S. in “Training
Engineering and Multi-Media Project Management” focusing
my studies on the development of behavioral skills in training
plans.
At the same time, I discovered the accompaniment of people
beyond performance by opening to systemic and transactional
analysis. I have also been on an NLP path for over 10 years.
An NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer, I am also Business
Coach and Trainer, where I develop the human and relational
factor.
I also wish to mention a few people that have been on my path
and contributed to greatly enhance my learning, like Stefano
Scribani, Acting Coach and Mask Trainer, Daniele Terranova
Psychomotor Expert and, of course, Robert Dilts the “developer”
of NLP, who has brought tremendous meaning and depth to my
work.
CC : Your rich and pluridisciplinary
path has materialized through companies. Would you please
elaborate on that?
OC : I created and co-managed forest Consulting
for 7 years, and, in 2004, started Centre EVOLIBRE, a Visitor
Reception and Research Center on coaching and modeling.
In 2005, forest Consulting became POLYPHONYA, a training
company specializing in the development of corporate relational
and behavioural skills, which we co-manage with Stefano Scribani
and Joseph Palmieri.
CC : What are your current professional
objectives?
OC : To contribute a certain expertise on
the NLP tools of change, in training and coaching schools.
To continue to professionalize and expand the practice of
coaching.
Then to continue to implement these tools of evolution and
well-being into companies, with POLYPHONYA, and also with
individuals with EVOLIBRE.
CC : What would be your wish on a personal
level ?
OC : I would wish to become a symbol of
peace. To show strength and compassion, and moreover to instill
peace into tensions between people or “within”
a human being.
CC : What would be the one you would
wish for about the world around us?
OC : I would wish that people ask themselves
at which level of priority we put growth and profitability.
It would be desirable to consider continuity from a larger
perspective, not only in time, but also in space.
I do not question systems, but I believe that profitability
is not a solution to everything.
CC : What question would you have liked
me to ask you ?
OC : « What makes the difference in
the quality of what you do ? »
And I shall answer that, more than diplomas or experience,
it is “the generosity of what we put in what we do”.
Thank you Olivier for having played the interview game!
